Percentages

I find I learn best and achieve best when I have revisited the area that we are studying and learn more about it in an in-depth way. Then we the test comes along I feel more prepared and ready to do my best. I would like to learn how to find the percentage of an improper fraction more quickly and accurately. I think that education perfect tests are very helpful and improve our test scores due to the fact that it's timed. I am looking forward to next week and learning more about changing fractions into percentages.

Algebra Week 4

This week we have been doing Algebra and learning how to solve fraction equations such as 4+ a/5= -2 to solve this you need to order and show your working using a formula.
4+ a/5= -2
a/5 + 4 - 4=-2 - 4
a/5= -6
5a/5 = -6 x 5
a= -30

How to solve Simple Equations

This week has been very educational and helpful as well as enriching I have had a very good week of Maths. I have enjoyed learning about the substitution in Algebra. Because of the previous weeks learning about Algebra skills, the switch into algebra substitution has been very easy as I knew quite a lot from before. There isn't much difference between the two the only thing is that when you're dealing with algebra skills you don't know what the letters are. And substitution is that you do know what the letters are but you have to substitute numbers in for them.

Algebra week 9

This week I have been working on Expanding Brackets. I have been looking at writing them out in correct formula as it is good to start learning the formulas as it is easier later on. For example here is a question I had to solve and I used a table and written formula. Question 1. 5(2x + 3)= Table
=(5 x 2x) + (5x3)
= 10x + 15
This has been a very enjoyable week even though I was sick for two of the days.

Algebra

This week we have been working on using a formula to divide algebraic equations. To divide something using algebra we need to put it in a fraction looking problem and then slowly take it apart, therefore, getting the answer. When deviding I learned you need to always include the letters in the end result. This week has been an okay week of school.

Integers and Groups

I think that the group norms for all group work should be based around listening collaborating and contributing to group work. We need to elaborate on our findings and let everyone in our group contribute to the question. I think personally I met most of these rules apart from the respecting other peoples answers but I think it was quite hard to considering my group weren't really helping at all. I think a way we could improve our groups is that you sort people in to groups who are all on the same level and in groups with people who actually want to work. On all I am enjoying this topic and I am very grateful that I am able to have a school I can learn in.

Maths Algebra Skills

This week we have been working on Algebra skills specifically using a number line to find numbers which are bigger and smaller we have been working on textbooks and using integers to help us find the answers. We have also been working in large random groups this week which is going alright although it really sucks when you're in a group full of slackers and have to do all the wor which has happened twice already. Although the groups need working on I think that they will eventually end up working. Overall I think that Maths is going well.

Week 7 Int studies Video Work

This week me and my group of four have been working on a video to promote awareness about social issues that are concerning like bullying and differences.
I think that making this video made me realise that this kind of stuff happens every day and that we need to open our eyes and provide more help for people who are affected. I also think it made me realise that from now on I want to be a better person make better choices and uphold the respect and kindness I expect from others. I also learnt that in this day and age we are very prone to saying oh that's so sad but we don't do anything about it and that needs to change. This is certainly a very important topic.

Maths Week 5

This wee I have been learning how to find equivalent Fractions. We have also been learning to transfer a improper fraction into a proper fraction using whole numbers and timetables. I have also learnt how to add and subtract fractions from one another.

How to Find An Equivalent Fraction

To find an Equivalent Fraction you need to take one fraction like
40/60 and then you need to find a similar fraction so for this one what you
need to do is simplify the Numerator first. See what are the common factors
and pick the lowest one for this one the lowest number is 2 and and a 0 no its
20 now what you have to do is find out how many twenties are in the numerator
which are 2 now how many twenties are in the denominator which is 3 therefore
the equivalent fraction for this question is ⅔ and that is how you find an
equivalent Fraction here is a
drawing to simplify what to do.

Now we have the fraction of 4/6 we then need to simplify so divided the denominator and the numerator by 2 and the final Fraction is ⅔.

Do I think it is fair the government only pays some money to support autistic students and not all?

I believe that the government should pay for all the costs that go towards helping Autistic Children. I mean they just spent about 1 million dollars on slushy machines for prison guards so why not help out some people who actually need it. I think that every child should have a shot at a happy life and if this support towards these children with diverse needs helps then I say we give it a go. After all it's not the children's fault they didn't ask to be have Autism and we need to support and help them as best we can. .
